I designed my own website with the help from 1&1 and their tech support. It's been a great experience overall and it's the cheapest (yet very good and reliable) web host I've ever used. I wouldn't go back to another host, let alone try a new one, it is the perfect one for me at the moment and I'd like to recommend them as well, you can't go wrong choosing 1&1!

Had used 1&1 before for other sites off and on for years (when they had a free 3-year preview many years ago), I had left them and used free, then premium WordPress.com hosting. But my subscription was running out and not satisfied with the limited options with the WordPress.com premium package, the best I could get close to self-hosted WordPress was to pay $250/year for the WordPress.com Business package. Uh, how about NO? I moved my WordPress.com blog over to 1&1, and I'm paying 75% less than I was with WordPress.com. Setup: easy. Just a few clicks and done. S/FTP access is a must for me. 1&1 has it. Emails... I need em. Not just a G Suite account with an extra cost, not an email alias forwarding to a Gmail or free-mail account, but full IMAP/SMTP and webmail access. People might email me, and if my reply is coming from a Gmail address, the professional image is then diminished. Not so with 1&1. And if I need a quick throwaway address, done. WordPress installation was a simple 5-minute process! Installing WordPress is not easy for most. You might Google for how to do it, but it's a long process. Instead, you go to your Control Panel, go to "1&1 Apps", click WordPress, and within 5 minutes, a new WordPress blog is set up. I can go on and on and on. But you get it, hopefully. I just don't get the negative reviews of this host. I really don't. I've used them before and I am with them again, and I've never had a problem.

I've got multiple domains on 1&1, as well as a few wordpress sites. They're cheap, easy to use and maintain - what else would you look for in a host? Support is also quite good when needed, but I haven't had any big problems at all.

I've got a few domains and a shared hosting plan with 1&1 and it's been a satisfying experience so far. There have been some minor issues and their customer service tried their best to help each time. It's overall a good web host with reasonable pricing.

Single repetitive issue, 12 instances of it happening and every single time I have to spend 2 hours on the phone jumping through hoops and with broken promises of things not happening again. Avoid
