TunnelBear VPN is headquartered in “The Bear Cave” in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The company was founded in 2011 by Ryan Dochuk and Daniel Kaldor. TunnelBear’s stated objective is to deliver the benefits of simple privacy to as many people as possible. The company is independently audited, and has a stringent privacy policy. TunnelBear’s VPN network has servers in over 20 countries, and is secured with 256-bit AES encryption. App features include SafeWiFi protection for public networks, an automatic closest server locator, and GhostBear to defeat VPN blocking. Apps are available for iOS, Android, Mac, Windows, and Chrome and Opera browsers. A free Chrome browser add-on that blocks online tracking is also available. There are three personal subscription-based packages on offer, as well as a business package, all including the ability to connect up to five devices per user. The Little Bear personal package is free of charge, and includes 500 MB of free data every month, with the option to tweet for another 1 GB. The two premium personal packages, the Giant Bear and the Grizzly Bear, include unlimited data. The Giant Bear subscription is on a monthly basis, and the Grizzly Bear subscription is on a yearly basis. Payment can be made with BitCoin or credit card. The business offering, TunnelBear for Teams, features instant invitations, a centralised team management and billing system, unlimited data, and the ability to connect to over 20 countries. A dedicated customer support team is always available, and the TunnelBear website features a knowledgebase.

“Safe option”

I don't particular like using Tor openly so i like to use it within a VPN service.
Tunnelbear has been the solution that has made this possible.
Excellent.

“Most reliable VPN I've used”
Reviewed

All other VPNs I've used are garbage compared to Tunnel Bear. It is by far the most reliable and I've had the least (if any) connection issues with it. These days is crucial to use a VPN even for ordinary every-day browsing, I'd recommend Tunnel Bear to everyone! There's also a free version of the app if you can't afford Show more

“It works great”
Reviewed

I'm using the free version at the moment, but I can't complain about a single thing! It works great and what's most important - it doesn't slow down the connection. Speed is the same as it was without a VPN. I'm mostly using it for YouTube country-based restricted videos and it's been working great, connecting to different servers with no Show more

“100% recommended, fast and safe!”
Reviewed

I used the free version at first, but then needed more data and got a paid plan, which pays off since it's not even that expensive. Video streaming and browsing in general is safe and fast, there's no drop in speed, as I've witnessed with other VPN providers before. I'd recommend it 100%
I love Tunnel Bear!

“Makes my browsing safer and sweeter”

I downloaded the free Blocker and Browser apps for Chrome a couple of days ago, and am very happy with them so far. I'm not at all technical, but I know that the Blocker is working, because all the funny URLs that used to appear when I clicked on a link have now vanished. It's also fun to have a Show more

“The app is awesome!”

I couldn't install the Windows version of TunnelBear on my PC, so I contacted their support, still waiting for a reply (they said the ticket should be answered in 24 hours, it's been only 6 hours so far). After further investigating things myself, I found out that (probably) the issue is because I'm using Windows XP. I guess I'm the Show more

“Good VPN with fast responding support”
Reviewed

I'm using TunnelBear at the moment and I'm pretty satisfied with it. Still trying out the free version, there are some drops of speed at times, but it's good overall. I believe the paid version works even better, I'm getting that one soon.
